GRAYSCALE ARCHITECTURE, LLC is committed to provide each client with a professional architectural experience derived from a background of over forty years of commercial and residential architectural design.

Steven E. Gray, AIA, is the Principal of Grayscale Architecture. He graduated with a BA in architecture and has a Master of Architecture from Iowa State University. He was a member of SVPA Architects of West Des Moines, IA for 37 ½ years and served as the President and CEO before retiring.

Mr. Gray currently holds a professional architectural registration in Iowa. He also has extensive experience in interior design and is a certified interior designer. He has an NCARB certification and is a member of both the national American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Iowa Chapter of the AIA.

Mr. Gray established Grayscale Architecture in 2015. Since then, he has worked on over 100 custom architectural projects for both commercial and residential use. Project focus for Grayscale Architecture includes: 

• Custom-designed residences of moderate size;

• Residential remodeling projects;

• Architectural review of existing residential structures for individuals, real estate companies, and financial institutions;

• Interior design consultation for residential applications; and

• Third-party construction administration observation and reports.
